SCB 115 Lab 6 Mitosis and Meiosis

Please review the Biology Laboratory Safety guidelines before you begin each laboratory investigation. Look at SCB115-Syllabus.pdf for accessibility and other policies.

Exercise 10 Content

Learning Objectives

After completing this lab, the students will be able to:

  • identify the different phases of the cell cycle, mitosis and meiosis.
  • Identify and describe the phases of mitosis.
  • Describe the cellular events that take place during meiosis and the differences between meiosis I and meiosis II.
  • Identify the differences between mitosis and meiosis.
